Domicile Requirements (for Telangana State Quota)
To be eligible for the 85% State Quota seats in Telangana, candidates must generally meet one of the following domicile criteria:
- Student of Telangana: Must have studied in a recognized school or college in Telangana for at least four consecutive years, including the year of appearing for the Class 12 or equivalent examination.
- Resided in Telangana: If not having studied for four consecutive years, the candidate must have resided in Telangana for at least four consecutive years immediately preceding the appearance in the qualifying examination.
- Studied for 7 Years: Candidates who have studied in educational institutions in Telangana for seven consecutive academic years prior to appearing for the qualifying exam, even if they don’t meet the above criteria.
